Wow”! It’s been a while since I’ve been able to write a
review!
OK, there are a lot of new cymbal companies popping up
nowadays. I did a review on one quite a while back and now here’s another one
worth checking out!
Exodus Cymbals. They’ve been around a short time but are
making some noise in the industry. The cymbals are Turkish and made very well. They
have ten different lines: Altavox, Armageddon, Emunah, Kaphar, Koinonia,
Shalom, Shofar, Sinergy, Worship, and Yuhbal
I’m going to talk about two of the lines that I have,
Altavox and Worship.
First up, the 22” Worship Ride, This is a pretty heavy
cymbal, I didn’t weight it but it’s got some bulk to it, nice and pingy with
just enough wash. It’s also pleasing to the eyes (not that that matters, sound
is more important but I give credit where it’s due). Nice finish (I like shiny
cymbals), great sound and a decent price. Can’t beat that.
Next up 13” Altavox Hi Hats, I’ve always like the crispness of
13” hats over 14” and these reinforce my belief. These hats are nice and crisp
and cut through the music like no other!
I really don’t know how to explain any of these cymbals effectively
enough so I posted some videos of each cymbal so you can hear it for yourself.
I mainly have Worship and Altavox cymbals in my collection but I can see myself
trying some of the other lines as well. Maybe we can talk Exodus Cymbals into
giving up a cymbal for a giveaway?

ReplyDeleteAs much as I love the 'Big Guys' cymbals (Sabian, Paiste, Zildj, etc) is sure is awesome to see so many new faces offering some really great cymbals at very respectable pricing!

I own a set of worship and three Kaphar cymbals and the difference between them is like the A's and K's of the Zildjians. The overall sound and look of the cymbals out way my Zildjians by two times.

That ripoff report is nothing more than a personal attack on Carlos . Many smaller, newer cymbal companies buy raw cymbals from OEM manufacturers and finish them. Saluda and Soultone do this as well.

I want to see real reviews with real people who are not sponsored by exodus.I like the way they look and sound but the price is too high for cymbals with no reputation. there is a science behind making cymbals sound a certain way so hand made does not impress me. It just means that the sound on there channel may not be the exact sound you will get if you buy. My name is Angel Gonzalez I'm a nobody and i want to hear another nobody review these cymbals so if your sponsored by exodus shut up your getting paid to say there good.

ReplyDeleteThey have no web page anymore, they deleted the official exodus cymbals facebook and twitter page. They owe a lot of money to a lot of people that paid for cymbals that never came. They stopped replying their client's messages and they are no where to be found. This is really an unfortunate situation. Very bad for the music scene.
They tried to "sponsored" me but I did not buy that whole western union payment and/or those prohibitive prices (way more expensive that Zildjian or Sabian for example). They said that they had they had the best customer service and yet were not able to address any of their email to my name nor respond to any of my questions. Horrible Customer Service for a Fraudulent and malicious business.
I had no issues with purchasing my cymbals from them.

My name is Stefano and i was offered an endorsement 'deal' through Exodus Cymbals, what this means is i get to purchase their cymbals at a discounted rate. On January 7th 2013 i purchased a full drum set worth of cymbals from said company, this included two crash cymbals a ride cymbal and a set of 14" hi-hats. The total bill was $719.33 US.
Cymbals did not come so i engaged in correspondence with Exodus cymbals artist relations’ manager "Alex Skinfill" regarding the delay & even the owner was involved. The reason they gave me was "customs issues". I was incredibly patient and accepted this answer even though it went on for months & months. I was given confirmed date after confirmed date to no-avail and always reassured they were on their way and would be delivered at a specified date. These dates were NEVER met.
After multiple emails and phone calls & even a dispute through pay pal which i eventually dropped because i was told i was impeding other clients from purchasing cymbals and was again reassured i would receive mine at a specified date. Like a sucker i gave them a chance to rectify the situation, i removed the dispute & waited. 10 months went by and i finally received my shipment, although not complete. The 14" hi-hats ($195.82 US) were not shipped.
Once again i contacted Alex and was met with resistance, i was told the warehouse was currently out of those specific hats and they would be shipped as soon as possible. This seemed very familiar to me but i was again trying to understand and be patient. As months went on; again i was dealing with the false shipment dates, over and over again. A total of 5 more months went by and still no hi-hats! i have now been waiting 1 year and 4 months for my complete shipment to arrive. This is not how you run a business. *Side note: My endorsement contract is only 2 years.
Finally sensing my frustration Alex offered to refund my money, which i accepted. It is now April and i am still waiting. They have cut off all email with me.
I purchased $1700 worth of cymbals from them and had no issues.

DeleteExodus has no warehouse. It is run out of their house. Carlos Skinfill ripped of his good friend in the drum business. There are many people that are not coming out yet because the Skinfill family is putting them off with promises. The whole thing is a real mess and hurts the whole industry that has brick and mortar operations with physical addresses. Paying anyone with western union instead of a bank wire for international and checks payable to a company name domestically. Carlos Skinfill is a professional liar con artist that thinks the world owes him. He talks his religious mumbo jumbo and places blame on others. I showed up to NAMM and he was not anywhere to be found. He only did NAMM 2014 in a 10' by10 foot space. Just do a google search with ....Carlos Skinfill Exodus cymbals ripoff endorsements Big Bear Lake and then do variations of just .......Carlos Skinfill ripoff etc. Check out drummerworld, other drum sites. he whole thing is a con job with investors out, buyers scams, and empty promises. He is living large on scams pulled in every town he has lived around the USA. Expect more irate buyers and workers to come out of the woodwork. This is only the beginning!

I was invited to go out with him and others to check out the local color , bands , eat and drink. I would not go because I took one look in his eyes and saw nothing good. His whole career was made and marketed by himself by total fabrications. His web and social media presence was purchase by bots when these companies like Myspace, Facebook, and Youtube were in their infancy and you could pay services to up your rankings, likes, views. He has rob investors in Big Bear Lake , Ca. for well over 300,000.00 US Dollars. He has stolen cymbal purchase money from over 100 people we know about domestically and internationally. He has different fake ID's and has his wife and adult children in on the scam. Recently it was revealed that he stole money, paid master recordings and musical gear in Mexico in the year 2000. The band pulled up to the house to record and it was empty with no prior notification to anyone. His wife was involved in that set up as well. Meanwhile he was always talking God, Jesus, Glory to set up victims. If you were a victim please contact the US postal inspector online and file a case. You can do this from anywhere in the world. Call the US Embassy and file a case with FBI and any other authorities they can provide. All involved in this scam will have to pay for any illegitimate money they received from the Skinfill's. If you helped perpetuate and assisted the Skinfill's in their scam you should turn yourself in and ask for leniency. Be fully cooperative and truthful with the authorities. If you do not the FBI and postal inspector will follow the paper trail to you and make you pay.
